A growing demand for products in the aerospace industry has prompted Guill to begin the certification processes required to satisfy this demand. To expand its current customer base in Asia, Guill has begun searching for representation in China and Taiwan. An international advertising campaign in Western Europe was launched to gain market share.
- To satisfy the quality management system elements required to manufacture products for the aerospace industry, Guill began the certification process for AS9100:2016 (RevD) and ISO 9001:2015. These certification revisions indicate that Guill is committed to meeting the needs of its customers and to continuously improve processes. Requirements of ISO 9001 and AS9100 are communicated and maintained at all levels of the company through training, internal audits and internal communication.
- To further tap into the markets of Taiwan and China, Guill partnered with the U.S. Department of Commerce divisions in both regions to use their relationships and resources to find a sales representative firm. Representation in Asia would greatly complement Guill’s already-successful Mexico representation installed in late 2016.
- In an effort to gain market share in Western Europe, Guill began an international marketing campaign in Extrusion International Magazine. Advertisement distribution is spread across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, The Benelux Union, Scandinavia, Great Britain and Ireland.
